Lomi Massage, Reiki & Bodywork

About RelaxDeva

Hello from the Ozarks. I am Angela Fernandes, an Arkansas-based massage therapist. RelaxDeva Massage Studio is located in Bella Vista, Arkansas, in the foothills of the beautiful Ozark Mountains. I offer individuals a private, attentive bodywork experience.

My life passion is the art of Lomi Lomi, an ancient system of therapeutic bodywork from Polynesia. This transformative healing practice uses techniques such as long, head-to-toe rhythmic strokes. I also offer a seamless Swedish massage with perfect pressure and no pain, using techniques such as effleurage, petrissage, and kneading.

I am also a Reiki practitioner and an initiated tantric Dakini who can ignite chakras with kundalini. I can assist women during the childbearing years, in labor, or after pregnancy.

When the body is gripped with tightness, I use Trigger Point modalities to offer deeper bodywork. Essence is used to relieve mental exhaustion and promote well-being and rejuvenation. I give you instructions on how to use breath to maximize the effects of a therapeutic massage, and I use meditative language to guide you toward the deepest state of relaxation.

During a massage session, we use warm oils, clean cotton sheets, pillows, calming music, and dimmed lights so you can let go, enter a deeper state of relaxation, and drift into the sea of bliss.

IKE (ee-kay)

This principle is a reminder that you have the ability, by changing your thoughts, to change your experience of the world;

KALA (kulla)

Kala teaches that we are all interconnected, that your actions and thoughts influence the universe and the universe influences you.

MAKIA (Mu-kee-a)

Makia is especially meaningful in bodywork. Where attention goes, energy flows; focused care helps the body relax and respond.

MANAWA (Ma-nah-wa)

Manawa reminds us that all power exists in the present moment. This moment is where the body can begin to soften, release, and reset.

ALOHA (A-low-ha)

Love and acceptance are fundamental to the healing process: to accept, to be present, and to be happy with the person in front of you.

MANA (Ma-na)

Mana recognizes that we all come from the same place – spirit. It is the spirit, or life force, within that gives you your ability to exist and navigate.

PONO (Po-no)

Pono refers to finding alignment, or “rightness,” whether with your own soul, your relationships, your work, your home, or your healing.

Bodywork principles

These shamanic principles help shape the spirit of RelaxDeva: present, respectful, connected, and focused on balance in body, mind, and spirit.
